Welcome to the Motif CV & Job platform. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your personal details when you build resumes or apply for jobs on our platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use our platform:

• Account Details: Your name, surname, email address, and a secure hash of your password captured during registration.
• CV & Cover Letter Data: Work history, education, skills, certifications, languages, references, summaries, and images you input in our builder tools.
• Job Application Records: Data relating to jobs you apply for internally, including application messages, contact details, and resumes submitted.
• Noticeboard Submissions: Job listings or notices submitted by employers for admin approval.
• Community Profile Data: Optional profile details such as display name, headline, location, skills, work interests, education summaries, visibility preferences, verification requests, badges, Motif Points, Trust Score, and CV Readiness Score.
• Forum, Network, and Messaging Data: Posts, replies, reactions, reports, network memberships, private messages, CV requests, moderation records, and timestamps needed to operate community safety tools.
• Payment Records: When purchasing extra CVs or cover letters, we record the transaction number, description, and status. Please note that your card details are processed securely by Yoco and are never stored on Motif servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide CV and Cover Letter builder workspaces and templates.
• Match your profile with local job listings and process internal applications.
• Generate secure public CV sharing links (`public-cv.php?t=TOKEN`) which can be viewed by anyone holding the unique link.
• Send application emails to employers with your attached files on your behalf.
• Operate community features such as public profiles, forum discussions, networks, private messages, CV request approval, reporting, moderation, verification, badges, and leaderboard-style reputation tools.
• Protect members by masking contact details where possible, reviewing reports, blocking unsafe accounts, and investigating suspected scams or abuse.

3. Safe Sharing & Public Links

- Sensitive Information: We advise that you do not write sensitive information (like ID numbers, bank accounts, or home addresses) in your CV unless you are comfortable sharing it with prospective employers.
- Public Tokens: Anyone with access to your generated public CV token link can view your resume. Protect and share these links carefully.

4. Community Safety and Moderation

Community posts and profiles may be visible to public visitors or logged-in members depending on your settings. Private messages are intended for the sender and receiver, but Motif administrators may review message/report metadata and related content when needed to investigate safety complaints, scams, abuse, or legal requests.

Verification badges, Trust Scores, CV Readiness Scores, badges, and Motif Points are guidance signals only. They do not guarantee employment, user identity in every situation, payment safety, or the legitimacy of any opportunity.

5. Correction and Deletion

You can edit or delete your resumes, cover letters, community profile details, and many community posts through your account areas. Some records, such as payment records, moderation logs, reports, and safety records, may be retained where needed for legal, fraud prevention, or platform safety reasons.
